An Authentic Montessori Education

Allium prioritizes a three-hour uninterrupted work cycle, which allows students freedom to choose their own work, move at their own pace, and concentrate deeply. Students receive individualized lessons from teachers and then use hands-on materials to explore concepts within a variety of subject areas, including grammar, economic geography, geometry, advanced math, and music composition. Students also frequently apply their understanding through integrated projects. Thus, the Montessori work cycle supports mastery of complex concepts and development of executive functioning skills, including the ability to self-manage and plan toward goals. In our mixed-aged classroom, students also learn from peers and grow in leadership and responsibility.
